IMAGINATION AND CREATIVITY

These play an important role! To make an efficient model, one can take in consideration the current scenario and build something with relevance to that.

For example, during the lockdown, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a nation-wide task to beat the thaali’s (plates) to appreciate the frontline workers, Ashutosh coded and instructed a robot to do the same!

VISION AND FORESIGHT

Knowing what you want always has a favorable outcome. Having a blueprint of the model will help you with the construction in an organized manner! Envision your model you want as a result and be clear with the purpose behind making it. Only then get into the execution phase.

COLLECTION AND SEGREGRATION OF PARTS

Ensure you have all the necessary parts and the motor or any operating part, functioning properly. Lego construction involves many big and small pieces, and you must make sure you have them all. You should also have the pieces segregated, so that they are easily recognizable, that way you can save a lot of time!

INTERLOCK IT WELL

Every part should be interlocked with one another, to avoid any disassembling when the model starts to work. How do you make sure your Lego robot model fully interlocked? Try and press it completely inside unless and until it becomes strong enough.

NAMING AND TESTING OF THE MODEL

Name of the model should be as simple and as self explanatory as possible. Testing of the model is an important so that there are no glitches later.

Hope these tips will help you make your first Lego robot! It’s time to showcase your Lego skills! You will keep getting better with practice!
